It’s true that some great man had been keeping bad health but a good healthy body is necessary for anyone who wants to do hard work. Without a healthy body it is very difficult to expect one’s mind to do any work. A sound mind goes usually with a sound body. Of course, this does not mean that everyone who has developed his body would have an intelligent mind too, but on the other hand intelligent mind will lose its strength if the body is week and sickly.
What should be done to keep the body in sound condition?
In the simple words, Exercise and good food are the first requirement. It is necessary to observe common rules of hygiene and good health. Daily exercise in some form or the other is also essential for keeping the body fit. Taking part in some kind of sports will develop the body as well as cultivate the mind. The mind receives training in course of sports and the bodily frame is built up. Sports therefor are an excellent means of keeping the body fit.
For the health of mind it is necessary that the body should be kept healthy. We expect to find a sound mind in a sound body.
